Mango & Mint Infused Tea
Living in the South, tea is a staple. Well, sweet tea that is. Being that I’ve lived in the South for almost half my life I consider myself a southerner. However, I’m totally ok with drinking unsweetened tea (gasp! I know). My husband on the other hand doens’t discriminate. He loves the sweet tea, and he loves flavored teas. So when Primula reached out to me and asked if I would do a product review and giveaway for the Flavor It Pitcher 3-in-1 Beverage System, because I knew that this was something my husband would love. And he might actually make a few brews of his own.
Well after playing around with this awesome pitcher I’m happy to report that I too am a bit obsessed. We have concocted all sorts of different flavor infused teas. I’m dieing to create a flavor infused sangria. And flavor infused coffee! The wheels are turning… recipes are slowly brewing (no pun intended). Stay tuned because later this week, I’ll be giving away one of these fabulous pitchers to one lucky reader!
Katie Original Recipe
- 5 bags of tea
- 1 mango, sliced thin
- 1 sprig of mint
- *agave nectar, optional
- Fill the pitcher with water to the fill line. Then, open the 5 bags of tea and add to the stainless steel tea infuser. Close lid, and place inside the pitcher. Secure the lid to the pitcher and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
- The next day remove the stainless steel tea infuser and place the flavor infuser basket into the pitcher. Fill the basket with fresh mango and a sprig of mint. Refrigerate for another 8 hours or over night.
- Pour tea over ice (and add agave nectar if needed to taste). Garnish with a piece of mango and a sprig of mint. Enjoy!
