Katie's Cucina

I was just reading through some of my comments as I like to do on a weekly basis and I stumbled across yet another nice comment from LightWhimsy she loved my Asian Noodle Soup recipe and then informed me that I won a beautiful blog award from her! I’m totally blown away right now! I even made #1 on her list! This is what she had to say about me: “1.  Katie’s Cucina – This girl can COOK!  She has some delicious recipes and I’ve tried some of them.”

This really puts a smile on my face and is very uplifting since I’ve been pretty depressed the past week. I haven’t been able to get in the kitchen and cook like I normally do! My husband has been suffering from severe abdominal pain–thus he’s on a “bland” diet, and to me there is no fun in cooking or greater reward than to watch someone enjoy the food you’ve just created. So to all my readers–you will notice that I won’t be posting as often these next few weeks… that is until my husband can start eating real foods again, and the doctors can figure out what’s wrong with him.

Hope your husband feels better soon! I kind of had a sluggish week in the kitchen, also – boo to that!

Thank you for the well wishes. He's feeling better; however, he has to go back in for more test since all of his test came back fine. He is eating more "normal" food, so I guess I'll be cooking up a few new items this week!

You may find that you are a creative cook for lots of reasons. Even being creative with bland food. Hope he is back to normal soon.

PenLight: so true! I've really had to spark up the creativity with the bland food, but thankfully he is back to eating semi-normal food again… although I still can't cook with tons of garlic and onion like I'm use too!
