Three glasses with pink drink, cranberries, and ice with lime wedges.

I am a big fan of margaritas. In fact, one of my favorite drinks to consume while out at a restaurants. I also love to enjoy them anytime I make Mexican food. I love my frozen strawberry margaritas but I also love Cranberry Margaritas! Whether it’s during the holidays when cranberries are in season, for taco Tuesday, or just want to quench your thirst. My Cranberry Margaritas are delicious!

  • Liquor – You will need tequila and Cointreau.
  • Lime – A whole lime for wedges and then some juice.
  • Sugar – A little sugar to line the rim of the drink.

Tips & Tricks

Three glasses with margaritas filled with ice, cranberries, and lime wedges and a shaker in the background.

Here are a few of my favorite tips and tricks when making cranberry margs.

  • Tequila – Some will say you do not use high end tequila, but it’s what I prefer. Use whatever type of tequila you like to drink.
  • Liquor Substitution – If you don’t have Cointreau on hand (an Orange liqueur) you can use triple sec.
  • Sweetener – If you don’t have agaave you can use simple syrup or even my mint simple syrup recipe.
  • Spicy – Make it spicy by muddling a few slices of jalapeño with the tequila.
