Last month, I made my mother in-law a birthday dinner. I had a greek theme going and I wanted to have an appetizer for her to snack on while I was preparing dinner. The first thing that came to mind was Jessica’s seven layer greek dip. My mother in-law and I both make traditional Mexican style seven layer dip all the time, so I figured she would appreciate a new spin on things… a Greek spin on things!
Plus, I mean who doesn’t love hummus, tzatziki, feta, and veggies all mixed together? I think its a perfect concoction for an informal appetizer. Best of all its a little more on the healthy side oppose to most appetizers out there.
I love pita chips and could honestly eat them on their own. This recipe was a match made in heaven and super simple to throw together. I used store bought hummus and feta from the store; however, I did make my own tzatziki sauce! I hope you love this dip as much as I do.

Ingredients
- 2 cups hummus
- 1 cup kalamata olives chopped
- 1 cup canned artichoke hearts chopped
- ¾ cup tomato chopped
- ¾ cup cucumber peeled and chopped
- ½ cup feta
- 1-½ cups greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoon fresh dill
- 2 teaspoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoon cucumber minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- salt & pepper to taste
- pita chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl you'll want to make your own tzatzki sauce. Combine greek yogurt, dill, garlic, diced cucumber, lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well then slowly add in olive oil.
- Place the tzatziki mixture in a large circular glass serving dish and begin layering the dip; tzatzki, chopped olives, hummus, chopped artichoke hearts, feta, topped with diced cucumber and tomato. Chill for up to 4 hours before serving or serve right away with pita chips.

A friend was just telling me about a similar recipe to this that I want to try! It looks gorgeous and so perfect for a summer evening out. My family is also just a tiny bit OBSESSED with pita chips right now!

Oh very cool Danielle, what do you typically put in your dip? If I liked banana peppers I probably would have added those as well!
