Masa Harina Corn Flour, Salt, Granulated Sugar, and Hot Water

Using a KitchenAid Stand Mixer, add masa harina, salt, and sugar to bowl. Mix and slowly pour in hot water. Increase speed and Mix for 30 sec until dough-like.

Remove dough and knead to form ball. Place on parchment paper or plate and cover with damp kitchen towel. Let rest for 30 min.

Preheat non-stick pan on medium heat. Place plastic wrap on both sides of tortilla press. Flatten one ball of dough in press, remove, and set on parchment or damp towel-lined surface.

Place tortilla in pan, cook 45 sec to 1 min until edges curl up. Flip with spatula and cook another 45 sec. Flatten and cook all tortillas at once. Repeat until all dough is formed into tortillas.

As tortillas finish cooking, place in tortilla warmer or on plate with towel on top to soften and enjoy!
