Scared to bake with yeast? Make a loaf of this four ingredient beer bread recipe. Fresh thick homemade bread made in under an hours time with no resting time needed!
In a large bowl combine self-rising flour, sugar, and a bottle of beer. Mix well until all the flour is incorporated. Once it’s all combined it will be very sticky dough.
Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray and place the dough into the pan; making sure to even out the dough.
Bake for 20 minutes and then remove from the oven. Pour the melted butter on top of the partially cooked bread. Cook for an additional 20 minutes.
Let the bread rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
You can use whatever beer you have on hand. However, know that the bread may tastes slightly different depending on the style of beer you use.
