Pesto Pasta with Peas

This homemade Pesto Pasta with Peas makes for a delicious meat free dinner or pasta side dish. Made with just 5 ingredients and in 20 minutes it's sure to be a new family favorite.

  • 1 Large 5 Gallon Pot

Ingredients

  • 17 ounces Strozzapreti Pasta
  • 1 cup frozen green peas thawed
  • 4 oz pesto
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • In a large pot, cook pasta according to directions. Reserve ½ cup of starchy pasta water to the side, then drain.
  • Place half of the pesto in the pot, add cooked pasta, thawed green peas, and the remainder of the pesto. Begin to mix then add in the starchy water.
  • Place heat on low, add in heavy cream and stir until well incorporated and hot. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and serve immediately!

Notes

  • Serving Suggestion - This pasta side dish can be served hot or chilled in the refrigerator and served cold!
