Equipment

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Avocado Slicer
  • 1 Fork
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Red Onion minced
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 2 Avocados pitted and skin removed
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt

Instructions

  • Mince 2 tablespoons of red onion very fine. Place in a deep bowl. Then add ¾ of the lime juice.
  • Slice an avocado open, carefully remove pit, and scoop the flesh into the bowl with the red onion and lime juice. Sprinkle the salt on top and mash with a fork until desired consistency.
  • Drizzle the additional lime juice on top and enjoy immediately with chips.

Notes

  • Avocado Quantity - If you are looking to make guacamole for 4 you will need 2 avocados.
  • Mix-ins - If I want to get fancy I'll add 1 tablespoon of minced cilantro and 1 tablespoon of minced plum tomatoes.
  • Spicy - If you like your guacamole spicy add in 1-2 tablespoon of fresh minced jalapeno for extra kick.
  • Serving Size - Serving size is based on 2 tablespoons of guacamole
  • Plain Guacamole - Omit the lime and the onion and simply mash the avocado with the salt for a less fragrant guac.
