Looking for a delicious sauce to pour over fish tacos or simply dip with a chip? Make my dairy-free/ gluten-free blender Creamy Cilantro Dressing in minutes!

I came up with this easy recipe for blender Creamy Cilantro Dressing a few years ago when I was on a dairy-free diet while breastfeeding my dairy-intolerant new born baby! Even after reintroducing dairy back in my life, I loved this dressing so much that I still continue to make this recipe to this day. Still to this day, I love to slather this dressing on fish tacos or eat with tortilla chips.

I rarely let friends watch me make this because the looks they give me when they see me put mayonnaise in a blender is repulsive. They then second guess me and ask if this will really taste good. I always assure them this will be the best sauce they’ve ever had. After just one bite they can’t believe how delicious the sauce is and apologize for doubting me!

Do I need a blender to make Creamy Cilantro Dressing?

The answer is no. Technically, you do not need a blender. However, I like the cilantro to be pureed and in order to do this it needs to be put into a blender. I’ve made this while on vacation at a rental property that had a basic blender and it worked just fine. Just needed a little bit more time to puree. I also had to stop and use a silicone spatula to push around.

If you don’t own a blender you can use a food processor for this dressing. Just keep in mind you might need to continue to scrape down the sides of the bowl.

What can I use this Creamy Cilantro Dressing on?

Here are just a few ways I love to use this addictive Mexican dressing.

– Cilantro lime dressing for fish tacos (this is the main way we use this dressing)
– Poured on top of a salad
– Drizzled on grilled chicken
– Use as a dip with chips
