The other day I posted about the most delicious sesame ginger ahi tuna steaks. You can make them in just a few minutes and even better they are restaurant quality! I promised I would share the perfect vegetable side dish to go along with the tuna steaks. I love green beans and always experimenting with new recipes.
Steamed green beans are okay but add a little flavor and you have a winning side dish. We absolutely love these Honey ginger green beans in my house. Just like the tuna steaks, they take just a few minutes to cook. I could eat these green beans with rice as a meal.
How do you cook Honey Sesame Green Beans?
I like to cook these in my Cube Wok on high heat. Constantly stirring and mixing to ensure no burning. Just like you would get from a Chinese takeout restaurant.
- Heat the wok to high heat. Place the sesame oil and unsalted butter in the pan, let melt for 1 minutes.
- Place the green beans in the wok and sauté for 2 minutes. Then add in the minced garlic and fresh ginger.
- Saute for 2 more minutes. Add in the green onions, mix well. Remove the green beans from the heat, drizzle with honey, toss, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Mix again and serve immediately
Pro Tip: The key to cooking honey is to add the honey right before the dish is done cooking. This will ensure it doesn’t burn the green beans.
