Cheeseburger sliders are the perfect addition to any game day menu or even for a quick and delicious lunch or dinner. Consisting of ground beef, spices, cheese, and sweet King’s Hawaiian rolls they are baked to perfection and serve 12 or maybe just 4 hungry adults!

If you love cheeseburgers you are going to love this easy cheeseburger sliders recipe. Instead of taking the time to form 12 individual tiny beef patties you simply cook a pound of ground beef until it’s done. Then you assemble one giant cheeseburger that will get backed in the oven until golden and the cheese has melted. Once the sliders are done baking you simply cut them and serve!

My family loves this easy recipe whether it’s for a quick dinner or when I serve them on game day as we all hover around the tv cheering on our favorite sports team.

ingredients on counter; ground beef, rolls, seasonings, butter, cheese, sesame seeds, and worchestire sauce.
  • Ground Beef – Just one pound will do.
  • Seasonings – A variety of seasonings will be used for the meat mixture and topping of the buns. You will need garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Montreal steak seasoning, dried onion flakes, Worcestershire sauce and sesame seeds.
  • Butter – A few tablespoons of butter are needed to coat the tops of the rolls.
  • Rolls – For these sliders I love to use a 12 piece package of King’s Hawaiian Rolls.

How to Make Sliders

Raw ground beef in a skillet with another photo of it cooked with a meat grinder stick.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Begin to brown the ground beef in a large skillet. Add in the spices and Worcestershire. Break up the meat into bite size pieces. After cooking for about 10 minutes and the beef is fully cooked through, drain off the excess fat.

bread cut in half with cheese and a 2 more photos of ground beef and shredded cheese on top of the cut bread.

Place an entire 12 pack package of King’s Hawaiian Rolls on a cutting board. Carefully, cut through the middle of the solid 12 pack of rolls. Then layer with the colby jack cheese. Top with ground beef and sprinkle with the shredded cheddar cheese. Place the top onto the beef and cheese.

Silicone brush, brushing King's Hawaiian rolls and female hand sprinkling on sesame seeds.

Melt butter and begin to brush on top of the rolls. Then sprinkle with the sesame seeds.

12 cut ground beef and cheese sliderss on a parchment lined baking sheet with a red spatula.

Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bread is golden in color. Carefully remove from the oven and cut into individual sliders. Serve immediately.

What is the difference between a slider and a burger?

A slider is a smaller form of a larger burger. Size is the main difference in the naming of burgers verse sliders.

How many sliders does a pound of meat make?

For this recipe, a pound of meat will make 12 King’s Hawaiian Roll Sliders.

Tips & Tricks

Spatula holding 4 ground beef and cheese sliders.

If you want to make my ground beef sliders here are a few of my favorite tips and tricks.

  • Make Ahead – You can make the meat ahead of time. Then when you are ready to make the sliders you can just reheat the meat, assemble, and bake.
  • Cheeses – The sky is the limit as to what cheese you can top on these delectable mini burgers. My family loves colby jack and cheddar; however, you could use pepperjack, gouda, even provolone for a milder flavor.
  • Doubling Recipe – You can easily double this recipe if you are planning to serve this for a crowd. I like to make this buy using 2 – 12 count packs of King’s Hawaiian Rolls.

Sides for Burgers

Looking to pair your sliders or burgers with some sides? Here are a few of my favorites.

  • French fries on a white platter with with a small bowl of ketchup next to it.
    Air Fryer French Fries
  • Oval white bowl filled with baked beans with a wooden spoon in the bowl sitting on an orange cloth.
    Instant Pot Baked Beans
