Wake up to this delicious strawberry cheesecake overnight oats recipe. Perfect for an on-the-go quick and nutritious morning breakfast.
Overnight oats are a great quick and easy breakfast. The oats are very high in fiber content, which keeps your stomach filled for a longer period of time and is a great source for healthy digestion. This recipe works great when you prepare the oats the night before, let them soak overnight, and then grab and go from the refrigerator in the morning.
I prefer to put the oats and yogurt in a seal-tight lid mason jar for easy grab and go access. Feel free to swap up the ingredients and keep the oats as the base. You can easily customize each container to your preferred flavor. Ingredients
- Oats – I prefer using old fashioned or quick cooking oats when making overnight oats.
- Flax Chia Coconut Blend – I love the Barleans brand. If you can’t find it you can make your own mix of equal parts flaxseed, chia seeds, and shredded coconut.
- Yogurt – To keep with the strawberry theme use strawberry flavored yogurt..
- Milk – Milk is needed to help break the oats down so you they “soak” over night.
- Honey – I like to use strawberry honey but regular honey or any other flavored honey will do.
- Strawberries – I love to use fresh strawberries for this recipe when in season!
Directions
First, I chop all the strawberries and place them to the side.
Then, I like to prepare the oats in a big bowl. I mix the rolled oats, Barlean’s Flax, Chia, Coconut Blend, Strawberry yogurt, organic milk, and honey.
To make the overnight oat jars I place a thin layer of strawberries at the bottom of two mason jars. Then layer a few spoonfuls of oatmeal into each glass. I add another layer of fresh strawberries, followed by the remaining oatmeal.
I like to top with additional strawberries and then I place them in the refrigerator overnight, and enjoy the next morning.
