Ingredients
The sky is the limit when it comes to toppings for Antipasto Kabobs. Here are just some of my favorites.
- Meat – I love to use peppered salame, but any meats will do. Think prosciutto, pepperoni, ham, and salame. Really any Italian cured meats.
- Tomatoes – Mini grape tomaotoes give a great flavor burst.
- Olives – Any style olive is great. For this recipe I use a cheese stuffed olive. The main thing to make sure is that the pit is removed for skewering.
- Cheese – I like to use fresh mini mozzarella balls or even thick cut squares of feta, cheddar, or havarti.
- Artichoke Hearts – One jar of marinated artichoke hearts gives additional flavor.
- Peppers – I love to use my roasted bell peppers and pepperoni’s on antipasto kabobs.
- Herbs – If I’m serving mozzarella and tomatoes together I have to have fresh basil.
Directions
- Prep all of the ingredients, slice the Peppered Salame into 1-inch pieces. Pat dry the roasted bell peppers, artichoke hearts, olives, and pepperoncinis.
- Begin to layer the skewers in whatever order you prefer. Repeat until all 12 skewers are complete. Refrigerate for a few hours or serve immediately!
FAQs
This will all depend on how many skewers you make and whether or not you make mini skewers or large skewers. My recipe shares how to make 12 mini skewers which feeds about 4 adults.
A good antipasto platter has a wide-variety of ingredients on a wooden platter. Most antipasto platters will have cheeses, cured meats like prosciutto, salami, pepperoni, vegetables like artichoke hearts, olive, peppers, nuts, and bread or crackers.

- Dietary Substitutions – If you have a specific deitary need you can easily substitute ingredients.
- Gluten Free – Make sure to check the meat that you are using to ensure it is gluten free.
- Dairy Free – Simply add meats and vegetables that do not contain any dairy.
