Table of contents
Ingredients
- King’s Hawaiian Original Dinner Rolls – These dinner rolls work best for the base of the spider!
- Pretzel sticks – This is what you need to make the legs!
- Whipped cream cheese – I use a smear of cream cheese vs mayo for these which also takes the place of cheese!
- Turkey lunch meat – Any brand will do, but I prefer Boarshead.
- Hard candy eyeballs – This makes the sandwich complete!
Directions
I love the unique sweet flavors that King’s Hawaiian has to offer. The sweet roll compliments the cream cheese and turkey. The salty pretzels balance the sandwich and add a fun crunch! The various products King’s Hawaiian has to offer really allows your creativity to shine through. I created a video so you can see how easy these spider sandwiches are to make. Here is the step-by-step process below.
- Slice King’s Hawaiian Original Dinner Rolls in half. Then break 4 pretzel sticks in half. Gently, poke 4 pretzel sticks on each side of the roll.
- Next, smear 1 tablespoon whipped cream cheese on to the roll. Top with a half slice of turkey lunch meat (folded into a quarter square). Place roll on top of turkey.
- Carefully, smear a dab of cream cheese onto a hard candy eyeball. Place on top of the roll. Repeat step for the second “eyeball”.
- Repeat until all 12 spider sandwiches are made! Enjoy immediately or take to your next Halloween party!
