Make a delectable monster cream cheese caramel apple dip with just 3 ingredients (that include the candy eyes) plus apples and butter crackers for dipping!

This is the most delicious (and extremely easy) dip recipe I can honestly say you will probably ever make! My recipe for monster cream cheese caramel apple dip will be the talk of your next Halloween party. Never mind it is so simple to make. Even the most beginner cook can put this dip together.

Best of all you can keep the eyes off during the rest of the year and just have a simple 2 ingredient cream cheese caramel dip. I love to make this dip year round not just during the month of October. I’m here to share with you how easy it is to make at home.

Ingredients

skull platter with cream cheese covered in caramel and candy eyes served with apples and crackers.
  • Cream Cheese – You’ll need the cream cheese to be at room temperature so that you can easily spread the dip!
  • Caramel Dip – I love to use caramel dip OR when I can find it the Pumpkin Spice caramel dip. It’s a seasonal dip and I always stock up when it’s back in season!
  • Candy Eyeballs – Any size candy eyeballs work!
  • Granny Smith Apples – This is what I like to use to dip into the pumpkin dip with cream cheese.
  • Ritz Crackers – I find that the buttery flavors of the crackers compliment the sweet and creamy texture of the pumpkin cream cheese dip.

Directions

Like I mentioned above this recipe is extremely easy to make. First, you’ll place the room temperature cream cheese on a serving tray. You can put them side-by-side or vertical like I did. Either way is fine!

Then, using a microwave safe bowl heat the Caramel Dip for 30 seconds (on a low power setting). I use the “melt butter” setting on my microwave. If you don’t want to use the microwave (or maybe you don’t have one) you can also heat the caramel sauce over a double boiler for a few seconds until it’s warm and pliable.

Mix the warm Caramel Dip a few more times, and then pour on top of the cream cheese. I like to use a silicone spatula to spread the caramel evenly around the cream cheese.

Next, is the fun part… time to put some eyes on your dip which gives it that eerie monster look! Add on as many Candy Eyeballs as you desire.

I like to use a large enough tray where I can place slices of granny smith apples on one side of the dip and Ritz butter crackers on the other side. Then, it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

What do you use to dip in caramel cream cheese dip?

Whenever I make this dip I love dipping apples, butter crackers, and pretzels in the caramel cream cheese dip. The sweet, tangy, salty combo works best with this dip.

How long are cream cheese dips good for?

Dairy dips tend to only last 3-4 days when refrigerated and stored in an airtight container.

Tips & Tricks

Hand holding up package of Wilton Candy Eyeballs.

Here are some of my favorite tips and tricks for creating this cream cheese apple dip.

  • Supplies – This dip comes together quickly. You’ll need a Silicone Spatula and Microwave Safe Bowl to warm the caramel. A fun Season’s Skull Serving Tray and of course don’t forget the Wilton Candy Eyeballs.
  • Make ahead – You can make this dip ahead of time. However, I prefer to bring the ingredients with me if I’m traveling to a friends house and put it together as soon as we are ready to eat!
  • Candy Eyeballs – If you opt to make this ahead of time. Do not place the Wilton Candy Eyeballs on top of the dip until you are ready to serve. The candy will begin to soften over time making for soggy/runny eyes!
