Thank you Barleans for sponsoring today’s recipe. As always, all opinions are my own.
My family loves smoothies. What family doesn’t though? It’s an easy way to get in a few extra servings of fruits (and sometimes veggies). My husband, Jon, is the smoothie king in our home. He makes the best smoothies and typically makes us smoothies at least once on the weekend. True story, he made this Pineapple Peach Smoothie on a whim and after having a few sips I made him stop drinking his smoothie so I could photograph the smoothie.
This is true life of a food bloggers family. My family is well aware at any given moment they might have to stop eating/drinking so I can document. He just smiled and laughed and complied to my request. Jon knew right then and there that his smoothie was a hit! If I want to document it–he knows its Katie’s Cucina approved.
In this post you will learn the following information.
Ingredients
- Peaches– No need to peel the skin. Just remove the pit and throw the peach into the blender.
- Pineapple & Banana– I like to use fresh fruit, but if you have frozen feel free to use that too!
- Ice – If you want a cold smoothie this is key. If you use frozen fruit you will want to reduce the amount of ice you use.
- Barlean’s Fish Oil Omega Swirl in Pina Colada flavor – Added Omega 3 with no fishy burps in just a spoonful! You’ll never taste it in this smoothie.
Directions
- In a high power blender, place all the ingredients in the blender. Blend for 45 seconds on high or until the fruit and ice are smooth.
- Divide evenly between two glasses and garnish with additional pineapple if desired.
FAQs
No need to peel a peach. Just wash the skin very well, remove the pit and place the peach in the blender. The peach will puree and leave little flecks of orange in your smoothie.
Depending on the way it’s made their may be dairy. Typically you will have a liquid such as dairy, nut milk, or juice, ice or frozen fruit, and then fruit/vegetables of choice.
Here are a few of my substitution recommendations.
-Water
-Juice
-Nut Milk
-Coconut Milk
-Coconut Water
Tips & Tricks
Here are a few of my favorite tips and tricks I’ve found helpful when making this recipe.
- Omega-3 Fish Oil – Want added benefits without tasting the difference to your smoothie? Grab a bottle of Barlean’s Fish Oil Omega Swirl in Pina Colada flavor.
- Dairy Free – Want extra creamy but a pineapple peach smoothie without yogurt? Add in some coconut milk!
- Frozen Fruit – Use frozen fruit and omit the ice all together!
- Make Ahead – You can prep smoothie packs ahead of time by chopping all the fruit then freezing in individual bags. Then just add in the omega swirl before you go to blend (no need for ice since the fruit will already be frozen).

Notes
- Frozen Fruit – You can use frozen pineapple instead of fresh if you don’t have any on hand. Canned pineapple also works well too! Frozen bananas and peaches work well too. Just use less ice if using frozen fruit.
- Peeling – No need to peel the peaches. They will blend into the smoothie.
- Make Ahead – You can prep smoothie packs ahead of time by chopping all the fruit then freezing in individual bags. Then just add in the omega swirl before you go to blend (no need for ice since the fruit will already be frozen).

Thank you. I was not sure if banana would be good with the combination of these fruits but with your recipe I was able to make it. It is nice. Thanks again
